Read what others have had to say about Rochelle and the KEA team.

I wouldn’t trust my horse with anyone else, the training both Chubbie & I received is first class – if not world class. Schelle explains everything in great detail & we are made to feel part of a family. I was worried at my first lesson because I am only learning dressage & Schelle is an accomplished rider, but I need not have worried because she makes you feel very welcome & everything is so easily explained & enjoyable. Although lots of fun is had at KEA it is the most professional training stables that I have ever had dealings with. Thanks Guys, luv Chubbie & Sharon.

I started riding at KEA in February 2008, a year after I moved to Australia. Rochelle, Greg and the rest of the KEA team have been a big support getting myself back into dressage training. Rochelle and Greg, both has an amazing ability to teach and train you without frustration or even a language barrier. I love the fact that the KEA team members are very supportive when it comes to the ups and downs with horses as we all know. My little precious horse has been treated very well and his well being is everyone's priority at KEA. I am very lucky to be able to have Rochelle as my dressage trainer and mentor, always ready with answers and she is always willing to help. I think I would not be here without Rochelle and Greg and their skills to make my dreams come true. There is nothing better than to spend a weekend in KEA after a hard week at work, have a glass of wine and share jokes and laughter together. I am very happy to call them as my friends nowadays. Love you guys..

Hi everyone, I have been training with Rochelle since I was 8, I'm now 11. When I started I couldn't ride at all and I learnt with Blossom, my first pony. Now I have been to the NSW Pony Dressage Championships, Pony Club State Dressage and the Sydney Royal. In the last month I won Pony Club zone 19 champion Show Riding and champion for One Day Event. Training's really fun, at the moment I'm learning canter pirouettes, and Rochelle gives me chocolate when I get them right. Rochelle and Greg helped Mum and me get Romulus who is going to be my horse when I am older (he's still only a baby). love from Claudia

To describe Rochelle King and what she has done for me is almost impossible. She is one of the most talented people I have ever met and has taught me the world about horses and riding. Rochelle has a natural ability to know: what the problem is, how to fix it, how to improve and how you’re feeling about the situation. She describes everything in a way you can easily understand and has taught me how to change my riding and personality for each horse. There are so many good things to say about Schelly. She is the nicest, funniest person ever…..she’s awesome!!!

Luv Janey

Rochelle King has a unique ability to be able to teach, while making the experience enjoyable no matter how dire the situation truly is, and allowing it to be a tool to motivate a student to ride constantly throughout the week. With my constantly changing attitude and often truly unique issues she has always been able to come up with a solution and explain it in several ways which means that myself and my horses are experiencing the best solution for us, this is possible as Rochelle is able to adapt her proven methods to every combination that she works with. This coupled with long experience training elite horses and riders is what makes her to me, one of the most valuable instructors in Australia and a friend who has taught me life lessons that will always have a place in my heart.

Thank You Rochelle.

Kate

Hello, my name is Charlotte Le Hoang. I am 13 years of age. I met Rochelle King about 2 years ago and those past years have been the best learning years I have had in my horse riding times. I have been riding for 9 years now and I have a great passion for Dressage. Rochelle is a beautiful person who shares all her ideas with you. When she teaches she gives 200%.

Rochelle doesn’t just come and go but she has a nice chat to you and makes you feel the best.

When you need help from her, she is there ready to help you and ready to give you advice. She is very open and willing to tell you what’s right and wrong. In the 2 years with Rochelle I have learnt how to keep my horse on the bit, Led yielding, Shoulder in, Traver, Lengthens, simple changes, rein backs, canter to walk, walk to canter and so much more. I have also learnt what half passes are and what flying changes, piaffe, passage and pirouettes are.

Rochelle King has an amazing gift. She knows how to teach children in a way they will understand. She also makes her students laugh. Rochelle is serious about what she does and loves her it beyond doubt. Rochelle loves questions. She loves her students understanding the information she gives them before she leaves so that her mission is complete. Rochelle not only teaches but spends time with you and gets to know your social side.

As Rochelle once told me “She wants to bring her students to the top”, I am sure that Rochelle King is capable of doing so because she is amazing at what she does. She will never give up and she will do what it takes to make you a Champion.

I bought my first horse through Greg Andrews 10 years ago and my faith in Greg’s knowledge and ability to ascertain a horses character, confirmation, athleticism, movement & suitability to the buyer is unsurpassed. Whether it be buying a yearling or saddle horse, halter training, breaking, brood mare advice, which stallion to cover your mare advice or showing my halter horses at major shows, Greg is the first & only person to go. Why is Greg so strong in these areas? Because he has natural horse sense. To know Greg is to admire his calmness which is essential when working with any horse whether it be green, hot or insecure. He has the ability to settle a horse and gain its trust to get the best from it. His knowledge of bloodlines from anywhere in the world for Arabians & Warm bloods is remarkable.

4 years ago through Greg, I had the good fortune to meet Rochelle. Although offcourse for many years I had seen Rochelle compete at major shows & dressage events and her reputation as a top level dressage competitor & horse woman was well known to me. Rochelle has been giving me riding tuition for the last couple of years and what impresses me the most is her ability to communicate so efficiently. With previous instructors, quite often I would end a lesson feeling like “I think I get it, but not completely sure’ often going away frustrated with myself for not understanding the technical aspects or just not getting it right. In Rochelle’s case, she is able to break it down in a clear & calm way which enables me to be able to say ‘I’ve got it’ or ‘I know exactly what you are saying’ and hence can put it to practice and get the result from both myself and my horse. To me, this level of communication is an essential requirement if one wants to progress in any field. Especially with a young green horse as its introduction to work in an enviroment of calmness, trust & confidence building is paramount.

Add to their individual abilities the fact that they are a team means double the results for any client. As I live on the city and am unable to keep a horse at close quarters, there is no other place than Greg & Rochelle’s for my horses. I have complete and utter trust in their care & I take comfort knowing if my horse was to injure itself, Greg & Rochelle will go beyond the necessary level to insure its recovery & vet care.

Just as importantly & luckily, I am able to call them both dear friends!

“Rochelle has given me so much great advise on working with young horses especially warmblood, they are definitely a breed on their own. Rochelle always teaches with such a positive attitude that can not help but rub off on you even if you are having a not so enjoyable ride. I have found that she is not just a riding instructor, she goes above and beyond. She gives great advice on little exercises to work through problems, helpful competition tips, great horse nutritional and pre competition advise and is always interested in the heath and wellbeing of both the horse and rider. I look forward to my lessons they keep me on tract and give me positive re-enforcement for the time and effort I put into a sport and partnership I love.”

To know Rochelle has been a blessing, she has enriched our lives with her kindness, her humour and her desire to help my daughter, Charlotte, reach her goals. Charlotte is 14 yrs old and has been riding under Rochelle’s guidance since Nov 06, and has advanced her skills and her confidence in the hacking ring immeasurably.

Rochelle has a wonderful gift in teaching the youth, and has the talent to train her students to the highest level. She has a loving approach and is able to quickly and accurately identify, where to make improvements, with both the rider and horse, and then explain and instruct in a way that children can relate to. Char loves Rochelle and all the contact that she has with her, and because of the positive, loving, and energetic connection that she has enjoyed with Rochelle, Char is more fulfilled in her equestrian pursuits.

Char feels a great sense of enjoyment and achievement with the continuing support of Rochelle, and this has contributed greatly to her success in the hacking ring.

Rochelle is a wonderful role model and she has become a very dear friend.

When it comes to training horses you will not find a more professional, reliable and remarkably talented person than Rochelle King. Rochelle has a knack of communication that works exceptionally well with both horse and rider.

My association with Rochelle has proven to be invaluable. I have seen first hand outstanding results with young horses and teaching young children. Rochelle is extremely committed and is completely focused on getting the best out of the horse and rider.

Rochelle has taken my six year old daughter Charlotte from a nervous young rider to an enthusiastic well trained and competitive rider. But the most important element is that Charlotte has heaps of FUN and can not wait until her next lesson.

I would highly recommend Rochelle to anyone that wants to find Australia’s best instructor. Thank you Schelle for sharing your skills with us.
